There were demands for the Northern Ireland Assembly to be recalled over allegations surrounding the Housing Executive made in a BBC investigation. The Spotlight programme involved payments it claimed were made to some staff at the housing body. It also included whistleblower allegations made by DUP councillor Jenny Palmer against her own party.
